About this recording. Captured in the iOS Simulator, which has no GPU path for the on-device model, so it shows Klartext's demo mode: results produced earlier by the same pipeline that runs on the phone, from the same six letters. The letters are fictional. Live decoding runs on an iPhone 15 Pro or newer.
What you are looking at
The deadline, with the rule
“Innert 10 Tagen seit Zustellung” is not a date. Klartext counts from the day you say you received it, moves off weekends and Swiss public holidays, and shows the arithmetic and the original German sentence so you can check it.
Payment read from the QR code
Swiss QR-bills carry the amount, the QR-IBAN and a 27-digit reference. Klartext decodes them from the code rather than reading them off the page, so a smudged scan cannot change where your money goes.
It flags the fakes
An official-looking “register entry” invoice to a foreign account, with the offer hidden in the fine print, is marked as not being from an authority — and its payment date is not put in front of you as something you owe.
How it is built
Classification checks correct across all six test letters — country, letter type, authority, urgency, legitimacy and every deadline.
Leave the phone. Apple Vision reads the text, a 4-bit Qwen3.5-4B runs through Apple's MLX, and it all works in airplane mode.
Dates, amounts, IBANs and references are extracted by Swift and deadlines computed by the Swiss and German rules. The model classifies and explains; it never writes a number.
